Art Trip to Prague|01/09/2006|Prague Castle and St Vitus' Cathedral look like something out of a fairytale and the intricate designs in the architecture afforded us plenty of opportunity to flex our drawing muscles.
The stained glass is some of the best in the world, especially a window designed by Czech artist Alphonse Mucha.
We spent a lot of time walking, but using the metro was also a very popular way of getting around. The trains are wide, they travel at great speed and brake very hard so you have to hold on to prevent yourself sliding down the carriage - (trying to pronounce the names of the stations was quite a challenge!).
We visited the Jewish quarter and saw an exhibition of art created by Jewish children during the war. It is a very old part of Prague with some beautiful buildings and although it rained quite heavily for most of that morning, nothing could dampen our spirits!
